The U.S. government has established a website to provide information about the Affordable Care Act.    There is information for individuals and businesses alike.  Many FAQs are answered on this site.

You can also access the Health Insurance Marketplace from this site.  The Marketplace is a centralized database where you can compare health insurance options from different health insurance companies.  Your state may offer a separate website for the insurance exchange.  This information will be at healthcare.gov.   If your state does not offer an insurance exchange then healthcare.gov ‘s Health Insurance Marketplace will be your destination.

The website has had trouble handling all of the traffic during this first week.  So, it may be beneficial to wait a few weeks before entering the Health Insurance Marketplace. Open enrollment for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is from October 1, 2013 until March 31, 2014.  However, if you would like health insurance to begin on January 1, 2014 you should enroll by December 15, 2013.
